Birthday Celebrations!!!

Hello again everyone.....i hope you are all having a lovely day despite the miserable weather!!!

Today is my Youngest son's birthday, he has turned four and there have been lots of birthday celebrations going on over the last few days!
It also just so happened to be my little boys teacher's birthday too, so you can imagine that i took advantage of the situation as i don't need much in the way of an excuse to get crafting!!!

My son is a massive fan of all things fireman Sam, he loves fire engines and all things related to being a fireman. I didn't want to make something for him that you could typically buy on the high street so i went with the following design, it was both age appropriate and simple!
I used a 'Broken Box' Digital stamp coloured with pro markers
with a plain black card blank, layered with red textured Card stock, Red white and
Blue Striped papers and red and white polka dot paper.
Down the right hand side of the card is a simple present border stamped in white ink!
Overall, i am very happy with how this Card turned out!

Next Card was for my sons teacher. Now as he has just turned four and is in 'Nursery Class' still so I wanted the card to be quite cute, but i also wanted it to have a more grown up feel to it something that might appeal to an older lady (not Old i might add). When i saw this Digital Stamp, it looked so much like my gorgeous little boy, from the soft eyes to the moppy hair and the cute little smile that it was just absolutely perfect to put onto this card!!

I decide to use Recycled Brown Card stock for this as i quite like the texture of the card,
and i love that you can see the grain of the card also, i think that this really brings
something to the overall look. Next i added some vintage circle stamps for the back ground and
a rectangular stamp to back the image on. I added a stained string bow and two buttons as embellishments. To add finishing touches i used distressed inks on the card its self and the backing of the image!
