Lets Have a catch up

Hi everyone.....hope your all well!!

Its been a far too long since my last blog update....so i thought i would have a catch up of what i have been doing in my absence!!

Black and White (vintage style) card

Personalise Birthday Card (quote added at a later date)
'it may be your birthday but your still bald
and im still better looking' Dont you just love brotherly love!

Another comedy Birthday card from sister to brother.

Personalised bespoke Christmas Card

Handmade, personally designed vintage christmas tags!

These were designed for one of my favourite local businesses  'Unique Little Treasurs'

This customer wanted a football themed birthday card for her husband.
I personally am not a big fan of the typacal football themed card, i think they personally
look too generic and sometimes can look quite gawdy!! I decided to mix
a touch of vintage with the good old days of football. my inspiration here was newspaper clippings and old worn leather!!

I was asked to design a card for a newly wed couple.
The wife approached me for something special and unique for her husband.
I loved the digi stamp here from TiddlyInks, i though it was symbolic of a
loving couple. This is one of my favourite cards yet.

Again i was asked to produce a christmas card for a customer.
She was very specific in wanting the theme to be horses.
I used a digital image as the main image (escapes me as to the designer) will
add this asap! I used recycled brown card stock for this and
stamped white snow flakes using a stamp from one
of my favourite stamp producers www.VisibleImage.co.uk

This digital stamp used on the main image was from the paper shelter.
The recipient of this card was made for none other

I saw this digital stamp and thought it very amusing.
I was able to use it recently for a personal card.

There was no plan for this card, i had so many ideas buzzing around my head
that i couldnt decide on anything so, i ended up using a stamped image
from wellington collection and as they say i was winging it
every step of the way.

This card was a tough one. It was requested i do an african themed card, usure
as to what exactly the customer expected from african theme, i googled some images
to look at the christmas culture in africa, once i found my
inspiration in their decorations and coulours i was
able to come up with something very eye pleasing! (well i think so anyway)

This was made for a ladys mum (from her son). The specification given
was she likes flowers and cleaning and long
verses. Inside was a lovely long verse!

Vintage Christmas Card

New Baby Card

I was approached to produce a wedding invitation classy and chic in
design but with the olive tree and as the inspiration. I came up with the simple
designs on brown recycled stock with ivory organza.

Masculin design 'son' Card. Using Wellington Rubber stamped Image.

Finally This was card designed for a young boy having a skating birthday party.

Birthday Celebrations!!!

Hello again everyone.....i hope you are all having a lovely day despite the miserable weather!!!

Today is my Youngest son's birthday, he has turned four and there have been lots of birthday celebrations going on over the last few days!
It also just so happened to be my little boys teacher's birthday too, so you can imagine that i took advantage of the situation as i don't need much in the way of an excuse to get crafting!!!

My son is a massive fan of all things fireman Sam, he loves fire engines and all things related to being a fireman. I didn't want to make something for him that you could typically buy on the high street so i went with the following design, it was both age appropriate and simple!
I used a 'Broken Box' Digital stamp coloured with pro markers
with a plain black card blank, layered with red textured Card stock, Red white and
Blue Striped papers and red and white polka dot paper.
Down the right hand side of the card is a simple present border stamped in white ink!
Overall, i am very happy with how this Card turned out!

Next Card was for my sons teacher. Now as he has just turned four and is in 'Nursery Class' still so I wanted the card to be quite cute, but i also wanted it to have a more grown up feel to it something that might appeal to an older lady (not Old i might add). When i saw this Digital Stamp, it looked so much like my gorgeous little boy, from the soft eyes to the moppy hair and the cute little smile that it was just absolutely perfect to put onto this card!!

I decide to use Recycled Brown Card stock for this as i quite like the texture of the card,
and i love that you can see the grain of the card also, i think that this really brings
something to the overall look. Next i added some vintage circle stamps for the back ground and
a rectangular stamp to back the image on. I added a stained string bow and two buttons as embellishments. To add finishing touches i used distressed inks on the card its self and the backing of the image!

Over all i think these have worked really effectively!!!

Thursday 20 September 2012

Today I wanted to show you all a couple of my recent Creations!! Both customers were extreemly happy when they recieved these.

The First Creation was for the customers 80 Year old mum.
I was give the specifiaction  of several things, that her mums favourite colour was navy blue, that she loved Gardening and long verses, and she wanted something that said even if she doesnt say it her mum means the world to her. Customer also wanted mum on the front of the card and 80 but somewhere to add her name so her mum knew the card was handmade just for her!

so the Following Creation is what i came up with. The Image is a digital Stamp from The Paper Shelter Hand couloured using Pro Markers.

Next up on recent Creations.

I was approached by a local mum to create a minnie mouse themed birthday card for her daughters 2nd Birthday. She had seen my previous minnie mouse creations and decided to order.
However i do not liking making two of the same card, i will always change something to ensure each and every one of my customers get something made uniquely for them.

Here is what i came up with....

I Layered the image of Minnie Mouse to give a more 3d image, overall i think that this looks quite effective.

Following are previous minnie creations

Coming up soon will be some very special gift tags required for a photo shoot. Keep a look out for my next Blog!!
